Would have preferred Pryor or Ha Ha but I'm okay with the bears pick.

Weeden, Quinn and manziel were all selected 22nd overall so that should be promising for the browns.

What are the chances that the texans take another Carr?

I definitely wanted the Lions to take a CB with the first pick. But, I'm willing to give this TE a shot. He seems like a freak and they will be giving the new OC from the Saints a player to fill his Jimmy Graham role....so, he really won't be a TE.

I've never thought Manziel is going to be a good QB in the NFL. But, that doesn't mean that I think it was a bad pick at that point by the Browns. Great trade they made with Buffalo. Let's remember that Manziel would never be a Brown if it wasn't for the great trade they made of Richardson....and who was the loudest person here saying how great that trade was? Mothafuckin' COY.

Once Pryor and Haha were gone I would have preferred the Eagles trade back again. Or even take Jimmie Ward as I really wanted a safety. But I trust in Chip.

So the Browns could have had Khalil Mack or Sammy Watkins and Johnny Football if they didn't trade back from 4. I think they got good value with that trade, but they passed on two of the highest rated guys. Could have been A YUGE draft.

Totes didn't see Robinson-Bortles going 2-3.

Shakier brings great (4.37) speed at linebacker and goes sideline to sideline. Would have preferred Fuller or Dennard. Hope we get a decent CB later.

My wife gets nothing from me for Mother's Day; she's not my mother.

Also the Rams spent the 2nd pick on a.......RIGHT TACKLE! OMFG

And I was totes ready for the Eagles to get Johnny Football at 22 until the Browns jumped in.

Jeff said...

I like the Shazier pick. Steelers are loaded up at LB now. With Fuller off the board I thought Denard would be the pick, but his size and 4.5 something speed must've been the reason he was slipping.

See ya week one Johnny...

Was screaming and begging the raiders to fuck up at #5 so that Mack could fall to Atlanta without a trade.

But alas, it was not meant to be.
Matthews is an immediate starter and a damn fine consolation prize.

GMoney said...

That's why the Rams aren't a playoff team. And I say this as someone who is dying for the Skins to take a RT with the second pick tonight. Moses, Kouandjio and Bitonio are still there. Get the one you like most and let's win every Super Bowl!

Eat shit, Jay Glazer. I stuck by my sources and hung tight with Manziel to the Browns. That's where he went, bruh. Cruncha-muncha my ass.

The Jimmy Haslam/homeless guy story may have been the funniest thing that I've ever heard. The Browns owner makes decisions based on what a raving derelict screams at him. Good to know.

Love the Manziel pick (at where they got him). Not a big fan of the Gilbert pick. I'll have more on this Monday though. Shockingly, the Browns are off to a pretty solid start this weekend though. But like Ape said, they could have had an A+ draft if they took Watkins or Mack and then John Foot. Oh well.

GMoney said...

Also, Twitter during the NFL Draft is a real hoot.

GMoney said...

Huh...I only got 5 right apparently in my mock draft. These GMs are clearly idiots. They need to talk to more vagrants OBVZ.

Randall Stevens said...

I'm still recovering from the Browns passing on the best WR prospect since AJ Green. It's hard to get excited about your draft when that happens. I SUPPOSE getting Manziel at 22 isn't horrible but I still don't like the guy at all and I don't think he's gonna be the answer. And Gilbert that early still puzzles me. At least they got a first rounder next year out of the move.

Fuck it. I'm getting a Sammy Watkins Browns jersey made anyway.

Prime99 said...

The Bears did just fine with Fuller. Sounds like he's the guy they wanted. Their D will be significantly better than their turd D from last year.

Prime99 said...

Twitter was good last night. Rich Gannon will never be not ELITE.

Prime99 said...

Very glad I just looked up the track list of walk up songs. Now I know how truly out of touch I am with the rap game.

GMoney said...

You know, sometimes tough love is the only way to go and I just couldn't keep the charade going any longer. I had to tell Rich Gannon to his face through his Twitter account that he was never ELITE. Enough with the rumors and lies. It's time for the truth bombs.

You were good, Rich, and no one will ever take that away from you. But Rich Gannon was never ELITE.

My favorite part of Browns fans pumped about the Gilbert pick is the logic of "look what the Seahawks did!". Uh, they took big athletic guys in the later rounds and molded them into studs. You are the first team ever to spend two top ten picks on CBs in a five year stretch (probably...I can't imagine any other franchise doing that). Not the same at all. But at least you'll have all of those crappy #2 receiver in the NORF locked down for the next few years!

Obviously, an upgrade at the #2 CB was a necessity but I don't think that it should have been a priority.

I'll have to confirm with Colin T but I'm pretty sure that he will agree that with Johnny Football in the fold, the Browns are now TRANSCENDENT. Congrats on being relevant!

This is the first time in recent memory where the Bills have drafted who I wanted them too. They gave up a lot, but they're going all in on EJ. If they get a solid Tackle or the Best TE available at #41 I will be happy. The trade wasn't that bad considering next year's first will be the 32nd pick.

Randall Stevens said...

Cakes will have a Manziel jersey by noon today.

GMoney said...

The trade wasn't that bad considering next year's first will be the 32nd pick.

You mean 31. The Skins return to the first round will be the last pick next year. DEAL WITH IT.

Skins/Bills Super Bowl will be a blast IMO.

GMoney said...

Raise your hand if you're surprised that Ide couldn't "fight through human traffic" to get into the Draft so he turned around and went home. What a fucking hipster shitbird.

Radio City Music Hall was out of control last night. There was no getting in this year, unfortunately. Even the scalpers were going crazy (assaults!).

The first trade up was retarded, but in the end, I'm pretty pleased with the draft. I'm still hoping Hoyer will be able to go on opening day.

There is chatter out there that Hyde could come to Cleveland. If we shore up our RT in later rounds, then I am all happy about that. Tate is hot dogshit, and using Hyde as a committee back would be excellent. Plus, that motherfucker would just run up the gut negating our YUGE need at RT.

First off, the draft is free to get in. The NFL called an AUDIBLE, and gave out all the tickets 5 hours ahead of their posted date. Insanity ensued.

By the time I got there, which was an hour ahead of time, the line was absurdly long, so I hit up the scalpers. They all work together for one gimp in a wheelchair, and none of them had a single wristband (they had VIP for $350 a pop, however). Wristbands are for the plebs, and usually run for about $40. Last night, some rented mule (black) was selling fake wristbands for $150. It was a fucking mess.

I gave up, went and got something to eat, then learned we traded back to 9th. So I went back as a last ditch effort to no avail. Sucks too, because the Browns came out in force last night.

Your loss. I heard that there were hundreds of Hollywood talent scouts there looking for the next big thing to hit the silver screen.

I'm not sure that Hyde is the right play at the top of the second round for the Brownies after what you did yesterday. Call me Walt Behrman but I think it's time to invest in some BEEFS tonight.

Actually, Su'a-Filo would be an awesome pick.

Randall Stevens said...

I think Behrman would opt for someone more fundamental. And more white. I'm pretty sure Ross Durham is draft eligible.

Prime99 said...

Derek Carr next? Thoughts on that?

Bears are going D again tonight. Dude from Minnesota seems likely.

GMoney said...

I just don't think that the Texans can take another Carr. Especially Lloyd. My guess is that they trade for Mallet or Cousins instead (which is better than any of these guys left).

That Hageman guy has been on everyone's potential bust list all along. He will probably go to the Skins because of this.

GMoney said...

By the way, it's adorbs if you think that Hoyer will play all of this season while Johnny redshirts but that isn't how this works. Johnny Football is the starting QB right now. You can't have him as the back-up and Hoyer gets booed on every incompletion.

This is Manziel's team. Plus, Hoyer sucks and is coming off of a torn ACL. He shouldn't be the starter anyway.

Jeff said...

"By the way, it's adorbs if you think that Hoyer will play all of this season while Johnny redshirts"

Soo true. I've already heard a couple clowns fans say they hope Hoyer plays over JMFF. Are you fucking high? This kid aint riding the pine. When he was drafted you became the Cleveland Johnny Footballs. Throw him in there and see what he's got. He will gain nothing from sitting a year. He's a playmaker. Let the kid make some plays. Dude will TOTES be demanding a trade if he's not starting the Preseason game 1.

GMoney said...

Holy shit, did anyone else listen to The Fan over their lunch break? My God are Browns fans a bunch of pussies. How can you not be a fan of this?

"WUTS WRONG WIT HOYA?"--Uh, how about he isn't a starting QB in the NFL. You are never going to win anything with him. You have the chance now to be dynamic. Sure, it might bust, but it might also be the best thing to ever happen to the franchise.

The only bad thing about this is that Cleveland is about to get the full Tebow media treatment which will certainly be annoying as fuck.

I'll tell you one thing, I'd go to a Browns game in a heartbeat now that they actually are relevant and not the most boring franchise in the league not named the Titans.

Anonymous said...

My hottest take last night was that Hard Knocks needs to be in Cleveland this year. Truf.

I'm still not going ALLIN on this until I see what we do today.

It saddens me to admit this...but unfortunately G$ is correct. Manziel is going to be the week 1 starter. This coaching staff has zero allegiance to Hoyer and if they've been paying attention, they know they need to win right now unless they want to be out of a job in 2 years. But they aren't going to win right now so all of them are pretty much dead men walking. Assuming the Browns will continue their losing ways and the staff is destined to get shit canned...they can go with Hoyer and get fired or go with Manziel and get fired. At least with the latter they know at the end of the day they got fired doing it their way with their guy. Anyone who thinks Hoyer has a shot at starting week 1 is fucking stupid.

GMoney said...

G$ is correct.

GMoney said...

You know how it took Timmy Tens over one year to beat the Steelers and thus become loved by all of Earf? Johnny Football WILL do that week one!!!

Jeff said...

G$ just put another on a tee for Grump. Will he take the bait?

Jeff said...

I will.

If JMFF beats the Steelers week 1 I will let Ide buy everyone ribs again.

Randall Stevens said...

Manziel wins me free ribs and that's the first step towards me accepting him on this team.

Anonymous said...

I feel like Grump and I are barred from further betting. It's you lowlifes that need to step up the rib game. That is FACT.

Jeff should buy everyone ribs for simultaneously liking the Red Sox and Steelers.

Don't forget the TWOLVES!!!!!

How did they do this year btw?

Randall Stevens said...

TOTES called it.

"Randall Stevens10:32 AM
Cakes will have a Manziel jersey by noon today."

Replace "jersey" with tshirt and "noon" with "2pm" and I nailed it.

GMoney said...

And obviously replace "Cakes" with "Big Time Faggot".

GMoney said...

Do the Niners even need Stevie "Wheelz" Johnson? This pretty much means that the Bills just traded their 1 next year for Sammy Watkins. That's not bad.

Daniel said...

BILLS = SUPER BOWL

Randall Stevens said...

The Niners need Johnson because Crabtree will rape again. Rapers always rape again.
