Thursday Thumpski

GO BACK TO WARSAW, YA CUNT!
This is starting to become a Thursday tradition. Nothing ever happens on Wednesdays and thus I am left writing about a wide variety of barely sexy topics such as King Nerd E. Gordon Gee announcing to the world that running Ohio State is like running the Polish Army. That isn’t even funny if you like ethnic jokes but has got him in lukewarm water anyway. I like the idea of the almost non-existent central Ohio area Polacks picketing in front of his office when in fact they are standing outside of the Columbus Zoo. If they aren’t making sausage or breaking down the cover 2 defense on Monday Nights, Polacks are worthless. Anyway, onto other news that features far less xenophobia.

*If they lose more than one game in the Big Ten this year (barring injuries to their big 3), Matta should be fired.—G$, 11/18/2011. Looks like it’s time to run ol’ Sweaty Nuts out of town, right? I don’t really get it. Sure both losses were sort of fluky, but what do you make of this team? Aaron Craft is being way too passive. SHOOT THE FUCKING BALL. Buford tends to disappear for long stretches of games. DeShaun Thomas keeps reading off court cases to Judge Harry Stone while finger-blasting Markie Post. They just don’t feel like they know who they are yet. Last year, they definitely knew. They were going to be deadly from outside and Sullinger was going to dominate the paint. This year…not so much. It’s still early but, yeah, Matta to Citgo. DING!

*Sparty and the Hoosiers can’t really be this good, can they? Remember when Tom Izzo was supposed to take the Cavs job? That was a fun day.

*Anyone else see/hear Bobby Hebert go off on Les Miles after the National Title Game and on The Herd yesterday? Hilarious. I like his angle though. Coaches should be held accountable for not having their guys ready and should be called out for it. LSU was a goddamn embarrassment on Monday night and Miles deserved to be flamed for it. Bobby Hebert…never thought that his name would make this site.

*It appears that a “Plus One” is all but a certainty to be announced soon. Whatever, I’ll believe it when I see it. I still hold the belief that the BCS and NCAA are determined to piss off America every year. Those two entities are more out of touch with reality than Gary Busey.

*The Raiders are looking for a new head coach again after shit-canning Hue Jackson after one year. I actually think that this is justified. He isn’t someone that the new GM wants to work with and Hue was behind that God awful Carson Palmer trade. Bring back Art Shell!

*Tim Tenor has been named America’s Favorite Pro Athlete by whoever wastes enough time to tabulate those rankings. Makes sense considering that he just made Steeler fans cry and is ELITE at Mario Jars.

*Finally, there are rumors going around that the reason why Ryan Braun failed a drug test was because he was taking herpes medication. HERPES! Now he’s stuck. You don’t want to be outed as a false cheater but at the same time, you don’t want America to know about your dick-rot either. Apparently, Braun lives right next door to Pamela Anderson in CA so it makes sense that he has Diseased Wang. I hope that this story is true because it rules.

Hmmmm, Buckeye basketball talk better rule the comments today because, after reviewing the post, it feels a little light on talking points/interesting shit. Oh well, that’s what I get for hiring the Polish Army to blog for me today.

Top o' the morning. Not sure why my sleep has been off since I didn't move time zones but whatever. Any Gordon Gee off color remark is gold. I endorse the idea that he probably calls his mail courier a colored.

Rasheem Morris to the Redskins. He will whip that CB corps into allowing at least 275 yards.

Bobby Hebert was ELITE.

*Damn right it's still way too early. The first bad loss the Buckeyes have had was @Illinois and it took Brandon Paul scoring 43 points for it to happen.

I agree that they don't seem to know who they are yet, but I also said before the season that they would not have as good of a regular season as they did last year. Losing Lighty adn DIEBLER was huge. Still lots of time to figure out the right rotation.

One thing is for sure.....Sam Thompson is the most ELITE dunker in college basketball since Jason Richardson.

Another thing that is for sure...the Big Ten is BY FAR the most ELITE conference in college basketball this year. Any road win should be celebrated and you have to protect your own house. Crazy how good the conference is this year.

*I like 99% of the athletes out there more than I like Tebow.

*Gordon Gee is an intellectual God.

*I don't think that plus one would even take place until 2014, so we're stuck with at least two more years of this bull-shit.

Is the Morris thing official? Whatever, it would be impossible for DeAngelo "Pro Bowl MVP" Hall to play any worse than he did this past season. I wonder if Raheem knows Buke's "my black buddy Rasheem"?

My stupid wife stole the remote from me last night and started watching Are You There, Chelsea. Let me be clear on this, this is the worst show in the history of television. If I could get rid of Chelsea Handler but I had to murder all of you to do it, it would TOTES be worth it. SHE IS AWFUL. And that sitcom is worse.

Drew, do you agree that Aaron Craft needs to be more aggressive on O, though?

Anonymous said...

I don't think Crafts aggressiveness has been the problem. He just isn't very good on offense. He was supposed to improve his offensive game this year, but he can't shoot and is very adept at firing passes into the fifth row of the bleachers. I just don't think he has a lot of confidence on offense right now.

Buford is a fucking mystery to me. He is so damn inconsistent. Not a good thing from your most experienced player.

But, as has been stated, it's still early. They can get this shit figured out. It didn't do them any good in March to steamroll through the regular season last year. It's all about March.

G$...I do think Craft needs to be a bit more aggressive. The problem is that he has very little confidence in his jumper right now so defenders are sagging on him. The good thing is that he went 6/11 from the field against Illinois on Tuesday, so hopefully that helps him.

Buford is a mystery to me as well. I'm not sure he was as ready as he may have thought he was to be "the man". All these years he had more experienced guys around him leading nad he could kind of fly under the radar and score his points. He still should be able to score 18 or so a game...but, I think he presses himself too much to get them. He needs to settle down.

At least she$ doesn't watch fuckin teen mom 2...or maybe she does. All I know is that murder should be justified in these situations. All these mule-thighed skanks piss and moan about being broke, yet all have I-phones & live in houses that would have made me weep with joy if I lived in a similar place at that age. Plus they all get paid handsomely to show the world how fucking retarded they are. Thank god I have a 52" in the bedroom.

I'm bored. Somebody do something.

I never thought I would think of Bobby Hebert's name again unless I was watching Seinfeld reruns. BOOM! I was way off. Watching Les Miles squirm at that podium was one of the more enjoyable things I've witnessed in awhile. After Hebert was finished ripping the Hat a new asshold, his only response was "is there a question in there?". Nice comeback fag! Dude just ripped your coaching abilities and general comprehension of the game in front of a national audience and that's all you got?

Buckeyes will be fine... until they blow it in the Elite 8 against somebody they should never lose to. Such is life as a fan of Ohio St.

I thought that LA Clippers game against Miami was pretty neat. Discuss. It even had a classic LeBron choke job!

You poor souls.

Also, how fucking terrible is the new 7-10 pm ESPN radio show of Mike Hill and Mark Schlereth going to be? I'm sure that Stink will be all about Hill's constant black references while he talks about his green chiles.

Brady said...

Hey G$, lay off! It's been a tough go of it for the past year. Ohio St. was my one escape from the misery of the Browns/Indians. Now that's been snatched away from me too.

How the fuck did Mike Hill parlay his questionable talents into a radio gig. He isn't funny, isn't all that knowledgeable about sports (from what I can tell) and doesn't really mesh with Stink. Sounds like a KILLER idea ESPN!

I also wanted to commend Jared and G$ for being able to stay with your signifigant others after you were subjected to shows such as "Teen Mom" and "Are you there, Chelsea". That shit is fucking whack. My wife chooses to watch "Charmed" every chance she gets even though she owns the entire series on DVD. If horrible acting and laughable special effects are your thing, I highly recommend this program.

I find Teen Mom to be humorous.

Look who is starting in the NBA tonight....BYRON MULLENS!

BobcatsBballPR B.J. Evans
Head Coach Paul Silas indicated to the media @Bobcats shootaround this morning that @byron22james will start at center 2nite versus Hawks.

Mike hill's only talent is somehow subcontiously willing his co-host to talk black. He did it first with the more white than black michael smith and two night ago successfully willed schlereths inner black man to emerge. It was painfully uncomfortable listening to schlereth talk to john elway in straight ebonics. Painful yet hilarious.

I was actually set to pick up mullens in fantasy basketball but was beat to the punch. If you need a picture to properly capture "trailer trash white boy thug wanna be"...check out mullens profile pic. Its deliciously white trash.

I couldn't stoop to the level of adding Byron James GarnettStoudemiredirk to my roster so I settled on DJ White instead.

Stink has a lot of insight on the career of Kobe Bryant. I can't wait for him to explore it further over the coming months. These two were filling in for Colin today and Mike Hill referenced R Kelly for some reason and it was quite clear that Schlereth had no idea who that was. This show is going to be awesome. Move over, Demetrius, there's a new Sheriff in Terrible Radiotown.

As fas as that Chelsea show, it uses a laugh track as opposed to the live studio audience. I can't STAND that. I went into the bedroom within the first 30 seconds of my stupid wife turning it on. Every single terrible show on CBS is funnier than this show. And yes, every sitcom on CBS BLOWS. If you support the comedy department at CBS, you should be put to death.

Whenever the girlfriend turns shitty shows on...every 5 minutes...I go into the bedroom and bury my face in the N64. I'm starting to love her terrible taste in TV.
