No. No. Absolutely Not.

The New Era Pinstripe Bowl. This is apparently a real thing and not just a complete mindfuck. A company that makes nothing but baseball hats and memorabilia is now in the bowl endorsing business. The Yankees are now in on the bowl trend. The NCAA believes that it would be awesome to play a football game outside in The Bronx on December 30th every year.

THIS IS FUCKING STUPID. The Yankees are lying to themselves if they think that this bowl game will be a "classic" every year. Hell, it would suck if it was the Big East champ against the Big 12 champ. Yet all they are getting is third place vs. sixth place. This year, that would have given us something like West Virginny vs. Missour-ah or, as Hank Steinbrenner would like you to believe, RATINGS GOLD!

Even as a Yankees fan, the name of the bowl is irritating to me. I can't wait for this to fail miserably. And what will they do in a few years when the derelicts running MLB are still playing World Series games in late December???

Do you feel the same way about Yankee Stadium hosting the Winter Classic one year? Because, that sounds like it's going to happen. Rangers vs. Flyers or something like that.

G$ - aren't Army and ND playing in Yankee stadium in an upcoming year? Perhaps it was Army/Navy?

Asking because I think they already have games scheduled for Yankee Stadium.

Army and ND are playing there this year but it isn't called the "Start Spreading The News Bowl" or something else retarded. I don't have an issue playing other sports there, I have a problem with playing any bowl game in freezing temps. And that has a terrible name.

On the bright side, the gator bowl now features another big 10 SEC matchup on new years day. At least somebody is doing something right.

I like the idea. I would rather see a game in a New York City with teams having to play in the elements of winter than a game in Mobile, AL, San Francisco, Detroit, etc...

The 6th best Big 12 team and the 3rd place Big East do not have the right to set foot on Jeter's grass. It is an abomination.

Jeter will be fucking models on a beach in some warm weather climate at that time of year, anyway. What does he care, as long as the grass is repaired by opening day?

G$....I know how you feel. That's how I feel when MAC teams show up to play in the Horseshoe. They don't deserve to play on Pryor's turf.
